For the heaviest grease and oil

Heavy greases, oils, lubricants, hydraulic fluids and solvents expose skin to chemical risks that can irritate and cause dry and potentially cracked skin. Heavy tool work exposes skin to mechanical risks. Heavy mechanical wear combined with repeated chemical exposure can damage skin and compromise the natural barrier function of skin. Damaged skin is more likely to react with irritants than well-conditioned skin. This could lead to irritant contact dermatitis.

Dermatitis is the leading-cause of work-related illness[1] and is one of the most costly and rapidly expanding conditions in the U.S. Direct medical expenses are more than $1.4 billion with another $500 million in productivity losses.[2] This could have a large, hidden financial burden on both employers and employees.

Ensure employees use the mildest, effective skin cleanser convenient for use in each part of the plant. For removing the heaviest grease, tar and oil, provide GOJO® POWER GOLD® Hand Cleaner.

As a part of an effective regimen, employees should condition their skin often. To facilitate this, place GOJO® HAND MEDIC® Professional Skin Conditioner in convenient locations (plant entrances, high traffic pathways, near workstations and break areas) for convenient use. This will help condition and moisturize skin. Well-conditioned skin will feel better and is less likely to crack or react with outside irritants.

Recommended regimen:

GOJO® HAND MEDIC® Professional Skin Conditioner
  GOJO® POWER GOLD® Hand Cleaner
